Management is complex, and sometimes we need outside experts to help us not only see the big picture, but also see what is really important. Today, more than ever donors are asking questions about the management and costs of non-profit organizations. What are the answers and how can your non-profit make the most of every dollar you raise without compromising the quality of your programs. How can your team measure their success simply and efficiently?
I was been part of an organization that has been placed in the top 16 hospitals (large and small) in North America for their ability to benchmark their costs in raising a dollar and her organization was voted one of the top non-profit employers in Canada, 2016. I believe in transparency, always keeping Boards and donors informed and educated about the true costs of raising funds. Strategic planning, succession planning, team building - all are important to non-profit and for profits alike. My experience can help you develop a vision for the future of your organization and/or senior team as well as a plan that will help you get there.
Since leaving my role in the NGO world, I have worked with business and Indigenous organizations, developing HR policies and educational sessions, as well as performance management and developing individuals transition plans into companies succession plans, which allows the transfer of intellectual capital from one generation of leaders to another.
Although my experience has been mainly in the non-profit world, many of the lessons learned can easily apply to Government, or Corporate Canada. I also work with Associates who have been schooled and have experience in all three sectors.
